Immigration SA has conducted a mid-year review that resulted in an updated occupation list for the General Skilled Migration (GSM) visas.
As you will see below, there were;
- 3 occupations added to the occupation list
- Removal of “Special Conditions” to very common occupations
- Lifted restrictions for SSL offshore applicants
- English levels reduced
- Other Changes
On 11 February 2019, Immigration SA will implement the updated occupation list for both the State Nominated Occupation List (SNOL) and the Supplementary Skilled List (SSL).
Occupations Added to SNOL
The addition to an occupation list is always a welcomed change. With recent developments to South Australia's economy including the Whyalla Steel Plant and the Space Agency, it's great to see that SA immigration is willing to continue to adapt to what the state needs.
