Western Australia (WA), South Australia (SA) and Victoria (VIC) are offering cash incentives for migrants for occupations in healthcare and construction. Western Australia
Western Australia is the largest state in Australia, which is rich in mineral resources. The capital city is Perth with a population of 2.2 million.
WA is offering cash of up to $10,000 for both employers and applicants for skilled migration.
There are 59 occupations including Construction Project Managers, Architects, Structural Engineers, Civil Engineering technicians, Bricklayers, Carpenters, Plumbers, Tiler, Electricians, and Various Heavy Machinery operators.
For Skilled Migrants:
- They will need a construction occupation visa granted through the WA visa program and to be employed
For Employers:
- Sponsor a skilled migrant in one of the following visa subclasses - 482, 494, or 186; and in an eligible occupation

South Australia
South Australia is famous for its wines and events. The capital is Adelaide with a population of 1.4 million.
SA is offering cash incentives of up to $15,000 for Health Workers who relocate to South Australia. The State government is aiming to boost 550 clinical staff.
- Interstate and overseas health workers who take up a job within 100km of the Adelaide CBD will be eligible for $10,000
- Those who take a job in a regional location (more than 100km outside the Adelaide CBD) will be eligible for $13,000
- Those who relocate to remote South Australia will be eligible for $15,000

Victoria
Victoria holds some of Australia's largest sporting events including the Australia Open Tennis and the Grand Prix. Melbourne has a population of 5 million.
If you are a health or mental health professional considering the move to Victoria, there are a range of financial supports available to support your relocation.
There is an international travel reimbursement to help with relocation costs:
- $10,000 for healthcare workers who secure a role in a public metropolitan health service
- $13,000 for healthcare workers who secure a role in a rural or regional health service
Funds are transferred via the employing health service, so please speak to your employer about your individual agreement.
